I chose this topic because it's an interest of mine knowing what happens around the world and being up to date. Other than that, I have heard a lot about school shootings in movies and in class and it is a very important topic because of the damage it can make.
2. school Shooting
(When it started)
The first school shooting started on the 20th of April 1999, two students went into Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, and made a massacre of 12 students and a teacher, the student's ages were between 14 to 18. Meanwhile, 24 other people got injured before the attackers killed themselves, their names were Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. They had some mental issues and were considered loners, and they often played violent computer games, their attack was a bad inspiration to others and was well-planned.
(Who/ why)
There is no profile of a shooter, they all come from around the place, rich or poor, with many friends or a few, happy families, or broken families, with defriend backgrounds and only a few had mental disorders. A lot of people have been trying to find out what motivates a shooter, and some of the things are fame, losing people, mostly suicidal, not shooting impulsively, planning the attack in advance, often telling others about the plans, typically owning guns, has often been bullied or threatened, has a past of violence or/ and often has revenge as a motive.
