I think that it’s really important to hear about the relationship between teenagers and adults from another point of view, from a teenager. You can’t build a story from only on side of it. I would describe a relationship between Teenagers and parents as complicated. It’s different from home to home.
My own relationship with my parents is good, of course we have arguments and get angry at each other, but we can usually figure it out, sometimes I think that my parents rules are to strict, but when I see back at the rules I can see the meaning behind them.
It’s typical for children around the age of 13 to get kind of stubborn, and to argue a lot with our parents. When you get older, you want to be more independent and to experience more things. But parents are always overprotective, and sometimes you don’t get permission to do what you want to do. That leads to arguing and your parents get even more mad.
When you were, younger things were less complicated because you were always beside your parents, but now when you’re growing up you start maybe hanging out with your friends even more. Some teenagers start to drink, and go to parties which makes the relationship between you and your parents less strong because you’re not always together with them anymore, compared to how much you were as a child.
