My name is Louise. I am a 16-years-old student on a boarding school called ISI. I am writing this letter because I want to tell that you are a big role model for many people. Not only the black people. A Street in Berlin are named after you, a lot of people know you. This week I have been reading a lot about you. First of all I just want too tell you that I respect you and look up too you. I want too say congratulations, congratulations for breaking three world records and tied another at the Big Ten Track and Field Championship in Michigan. I really hope that it open Hitler’s eyes for a different race than his own. I know you didn’t care much for Hitler’s politics, or any politics for that matter. I know you just wanted to show your immense skills and represent your country. I do not like any of Hitler’s politics either. My political beliefs are: no matter what color you are, you can do what ever you want to, if you work hard enough.
But Jesse, or should I call you "The Buckeye Bullet” what do you think about civil rights movement? Do you know that they not only make sure citizenship right for blacks but have also redefined prevailing conceptions of the nature of civil rights and the role of government in protecting these rights? You are a grandson of a slave, so if the civil rights movement haven’t change the rights, you couldn’t have don what you did.
