My name is [NAVN A], and right now I’m planning to do a gap year in India, with a friend of mine. I’ve had contact with a small school in the slums of Mumbai, where I would like to volunteer as a substitute- and auxiliary teacher in the English lessons.
My friend and I would like to start up a line of 12 free events for the children at the school. Our goal is to give the children a plan for their future, by hosting 8 workshops, 2 days of personal guidance, 1 day of product development and on the last day, the children will be presenting the future, they want. The events will take place over half a year and will be dealing with 4 different minor subjects.
About me
I am a 20-year-old Danish girl, from Aarhus, with a hunger for knowledge. I’ve just finished what we in Denmark call gymnasiet, which partly corresponds to high school. I am a very dedicated person, and I’m generally extremely thorough, hard-working and open-minded. When I’m done with my gap year, I would like to study as a schoolteacher. I want to teach children, when I’m done with my education, which also makes this relevant.
