Give a brief summary of the film “Misery” (200-300 words).
I bet all of us have a dream about meeting our idols and dote on them. Annie Wilkes is one of the lucky persons who get the chance to live with her idol, Paul Sheldon.
The film “Misery” starts of with a terrible car crash but what happens after is even more terrible. Sheldon who is an acknowledged author is the person in the car. Miss Wilkes finds him and fortunately she is a previous nurse, which makes it possible for her to take care of him. Miss Wilkes is not just Sheldon’s number one fan, but also a psychopath. Throughout the film we witness all of the crazy stuff she puts Sheldon through. Sheldon is very injured after the accident, which makes it impossible for him to run away.
In the meantime nobody knows where Sheldon is but the police searches for him everywhere. One day when Miss Wilkes leaves the home, Sheldon unlocks the door with a bobby pin and finds a scrapbook filled with murder-news and the person behind all of the news is Miss Wilkes.
