- Because they black people were meant to sit in the back of the bus and the white people would sit in the front, both of the females were sitting in the front.

Explain the case of Claudette Colvin

- Claudette was riding the bus home from high school when the bus driver demanded that she gave up her seat to a white woman, but she refused, and police dragged her out in handcuffs. She was one of 4 black females to enter supreme court.

What was the reason that Rosa parks did not want to give up her seat in the bus?

- She was tired of the Jim Crow law, where black people and white people would sit separately.
