Emma Gonsalez is a victim of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida. The shooting was done by nikolas cruz. 17 people died. After witnessing the awful shootings, she is now using her voice to empower people to go against the NRA (National rifle association) and President Donald trump. She has created an organization called: #NeverAgain. The organizations purpose and goal, is to ban guns and prevent school shootings Emma is strictly against normal people being able to own guns. She says that, guns are the reason to why, there have been so many school shootings. She is mad at the NRA, because they say, that the deaths are the peoples fault and not because of the guns. Emma believes that there wouldn’t have been a school shooting in the first place if the shooter wasn’t able to get a gun. A reason that she is mad at the us president, is because of the fact, that the white house hasn’t even talked about the school shooting yet. She says that a school shooting should be a disaster, not a part of your everyday life. In the end of the speech, she reads statements by the NRA out loud, following by saying: “We call B.S.”(We call bullshit). This quote has gone viral, and is used by many of her followers.
