I chose this subject because it interesting and I think it is a very important subject to talk about. Because there is much racism around the world, and it influences children in a bad way.

Rosa Parks joined the NAACP, which is short for national association for the advancement of colored people. She joined them so she could change the laws and get rid of racism. After 9 years, one day when she sat in the bus and was very tired. Then, a white citizen came inside the bus. He asked Mrs. Parks to stand up, but she refused. She got arrested and could only leave by paying 100 dollars and promise to come for a trial.

In the black churches, the ministers told everyone to go on a strike, so no black person should use the bus. Those who couldn’t walk, drove with others and the rest walked. Later, all the bus companies lost money and the blacks won in the end. They may sit everywhere in the bus.

Rosa parks faced harassment and threats, so she moved to Detroit with her husband and mother. Her brother already lived there. Her brother, mother and husband all died of cancer. Then she co-founded an institute for self-development for the youth of Detroit.
