Introducing new words or phrases that have not been accepted into the mainstream yet. It can also refer to using old words in new ways, changing their meaning.
In 2016, neologisms included: “Trumponomics” and “Trumpertantrum”. Other words that have been neologisms in earlier years include “Brexit”, “noob”, and “chillax”.
