Analyse af Doris Lessings novelle 'DHSS'

The short story “DHSS” by Doris Lessing is about a young woman and published in 1991.

The young woman does not have a job, so her only chance to get money is begging in front of a supermarket.

A woman comes over to give her money. The woman has enough money to buy food for her family now. An employee follows the young woman because he wants to see if the young woman actually buys food. The young lady could very well imagine that. After the restaurant visit, the man from the supermarket asks her if she wants to like to be driven home. The young woman thinks of course, but she doesn’t want too like that the man knows where she lives, so he just has to put her from another place.
