In the South African township, Soweto on the outskirts of Johannesburg, is survival and crime a normal part of everyday life.
Here is the nineteen-year-old Tsotsi leader of a small group of young gangsters who cleverly sneaks around between shanty’s in Soweto and the city's metro stations, where they cynically steal money for bread and butter.
Tsotsi lives up to his nickname, which means black criminal. After a discussion with Boston he chose to beat him up on a bar. He ran away to the city's rich neighborhood, where he shoots a woman and steals her car. During the escape, he got surprised by the woman's four months young son in the backseat of the grey BMW, Tsotsi decides to bring him back to his shanty in Soweto and take care of the young child.
For the first time Tsotsi must take responsibility for another person and that changes his current criminal lifestyle.

Tsotsi is a nineteen-year-old gang leader i the township Soweto outside of Johannesburg. He is a tough guy and he is willing to do everything for money. if anybody stands in his way, even his own gang members, he will kill them.
