All over the world, at this exact minute, millions are listening to downloaded music. I myself have over 300 songs downloaded on my computer and phone, so that I am able to listen to music no matter what. None of my songs are illegally downloaded, as I listen to them on Spotify, which I pay for monthly. Even though it does not cost more than $10 dollars each month, many people still seem to download music without paying for it. But what if you do not have any money? Is it a human right to be able to listen to music?
Well yes, but no. Music can do a lot of positive things for your health, but I would not define it as a human right. If you are not able to pay for it, I feel pity for you. It is sadly a luxury of this world. I would still not recommend downloading illegally, because even though it seems like the cheap and easy way, it can get very expensive. A college student was ordered to pay $22.500 dollars for each 30 songs he had illegally downloaded. That is a staggering $675.000 dollars! It has to be some good songs, or else it would be a waste of money. Which I really think it is. If you paid 10$ a month you would have music for 5625 years. $675.000 dollars truly is a lot of money.
