The movie is about a young man named jimmy (Eminem) he is a frustrated factory worker. He breaks up with his girlfriend and moves in with his mom, his mom lives in a trailer and jimmy is very embarrassed of it, his mom’s name is Stephanie, she is an alcoholic. she has an abusive boyfriend named Greg, it seems like she only with him because he’s getting a paycheck from the insurance, he also has a little sister named lily she is a young girl who is growing up in a bad environment. jimmy wants her to get out of the slum and takes good care of her. jimmy is very focused on getting a career in the rap game he gets help and support from his friend’s future, cheddar and sol George. But after taking part in his first rap battle he chokes and gets booed of stage, after that he gets stuck and doesn’t progress with his career at all. jimmy hits a low point at his life and his new flirt Alex cheats on him with wink, he thought wink was his friend and tried to help him, but he was only trash talking and a fake. he gets more and more confidence as time goes, and takes part in another rap battle, he beats everyone and wins the battle. Now he has street credit, and everyone has changed their mind and now thinks he cool. but really, he doesn’t care he just wants to get a deal and earn some money.
