I checked the sky for signs of rain and set off early to make the most of the day. I had packed my bag with a few necessities - a bite to eat, a bottle of water and heaps of curiosity about what day would bring. I was walking down the street going along with my day; it was not the funniest day because I was going to work. I felt bad, but as you know the money do not grow on the trees. The street was going fast, people around me joggling doing carnival stuff. I have always loved circus and stuff. There was this monkey doing flips on a little rope. I turned the corner and encountered this guy. He looked a little bit weird but I did not think much of it until later day. He had this white shirt with a black vest “I’m a magician,” he said. I thought to myself if he was joking or not but he took a deck of cards and said “Choose one, they don’t bite” I smuggled a little laugh and started looking at the cards and picked the one I thought looked the most interesting. I chose ace of hearts, he continued the trick “Is this your card?”, and it was! He amazed me, “How did he know?” I thought to myself. I gave him $5 because knew that he was not going to ask. He seemed way to humble. I got his phone number and went on about my day, after work I went to his flat and we watched a football game and tried some more magic out, I was fascinated, I had to learn it! He taught me an easy trick with a deck of cards I pulled it off and learned it to perfection “You can now call yourself a magician,” he said. I went home that night thinking about how much that magician taught me, and how amazing he was at what he was doing. I felt like I had found a new friend that I could be together with while being in New York. -[NAVN A] 8.A
