My family and I took a trip to New York in mid-December, and I would like to share some of the highlights of my visit.
From sky scrapers and pizzas to Times Square and yellow cabs, the thing I was most excited to see was Central Park. I absolutely loved roaming around the park, seeing the snow on the trees and hearing the white layer crumble under my shoes, something so simple that really made the park a true Christmas experience.
We took the subway all the days we were in New York, and it was a really convenient way of going around the city. Also, you feel like a true new yorker when hopping on and off the train, there were always musicians who would get on and capture the attention of everyone there (some were not always pleased) and I loved that the subway is not just a means of transportation, but a cultural experience as well.
The Rockefeller center’s iconic massive Christmas Tree is a must see if you ever go to New York during Christmas, it had big gleaming ornaments and lights that you could see miles away. They go all in with their Christmas decorations in the USA, every corner is filled to the brim with Christmas atmosphere.
