Joe Biden’s Acceptance Speech at the Democratic National Convention 2020,

“The current president has cloaked America in darkness for much too long. Too much anger. Too much fear. Too much division.”(p.1, ll.9-10). Why does Joe Biden think that America was cloaked in darkness for too long? He gives anger and fears the reason for it, but why? He means division also was the reason for America being in darkness. Is Joe Biden just telling stories to become president or is it true? These words come from the acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention 2020. It is a speech about his presidency and his morals. But is he just playing games with us to vote for him, or is he telling the truth about America

The topic of this speech is the presidential election in America. Here he talks about his morals and his visions. He wants us to know what he wants to do if he gets to be president. The sender is Joe Biden because he does the speech and not another person. The big intension with his speech is to become president as he says here: “As president, I will make you this promise: I will protect America. I will defend us from every attack. Seen. And unseen. Always. Without exception. Every time”(p.2, ll. 39-40). Here he tells us that he wants to be president and gives us a promise about defending America from all kinds of attacks. He also talks about the covid-19 pandemics in his speech “5 million Americans infected with COVID-19. More than 170,000 Americans have died.
