Establish time, place, and characters in the introductory paragraph.

It is outside in probably America, there are four boys, three of them are bullying the fourth one, and it is pretty harsh surroundings.

Describe the hierarchy of the three boys - who seems to have the leading word?

The Leading word seems to be the one, who has the house, that the other boy fucked with.

“Look who is playing with himself” - Explain the sexual associations of the pun (=ordspil). Find similar examples in the text for discussion.

It means that he is masturbating.

He can’t fuck - he can fucking lie.

I don’t believe you’ve ever fucked anybody but yourself.

How do the boys bully and intimidate Simpson verbally and physically?

They keep saying what he is doing wrong, bullying him with his appearance. Everything he does is wrong for them.

Simpson’s reactions: he is terrified, put up a resistance, is frightened out of his wits, gives up, is a sissy? Which words are best and why

Gives up is the best word because gives up is a strong word to use and often people do not give up but want to fight back.

What is the purpose of the “kangaroo court”? Establish the different roles of the three boys. Show how the boys try to “act the part”. Where have the boys learned about the methods and language of such a court? They must have maybe learned it from seeing the war back then, how they treat other humans badly.
