It means that we have to buy more, and we need to produce even more. This waste has a big damage and affect on the planet

"Social supermarkets" offers discounted food only for poor people. Those people can save up to 70 percent on the food.

In Western Europe we see 1/3 of the world's produced food goes to waste, this could have feed one billion people.

Also, restaurants are throwing tons of food out every year. Toogoodtoogo changed that for many restaurants and grocery stores, now they sell out the food they had thrown out, to people who have the app. This makes a difference in the long run.
