Pay It Forward is about a boy, who gets an assignment in school about changing the world to the better. The boy gets the idea that if you help 3 people and they help 3 other people each, then it will make the world better. The film is based on the novel written by Catherine Ryan Hyde. The film takes action in Las Vegas and is set in the year 2000.
The main roles are played by Haley Joel Osment, Helen Hunt and Kevin Spacey. Helen Hunt is known for staring in the show Mad About You, which she won an award for. She is also known for Cast Away and As Good As It Gets. Kevin Spacey has stared in multiple films and shows. Among others he has stared in Seven, House of Cards, 21 and Superman returns.
I believe that a person, who likes calming and interesting films such as Benjamin Buttons and Good Will Hunting would enjoy this film. Pay It Forward has both romance and drama like the other two films. It also has a very calming vibe, which is perfect if you just want to relax and flat out in front of the tv.
My favorite character in the film must be Arlene played by Helen Hunt. First of all, she cares and looks out for her child. She works multiple jobs to take care of them. And even though she is an alcoholic she stops drinking because of her son. I really admire the love she has for her son. In my opinion Helen Hunt deserves a lot of credit for the way she acted the role.
