Slumdog millionaire is a British film from 2008. The movie is directed by British Oscar-winner Danny Boyle. He is well-known for his work in. Shallow Grave, the Beach, 28 Days Later, Sunshine, Slumdog millionaire and many other.
The movie is about Jamal Malik, an 18-year old slumdog soon to be millionaire, who experiences the brutal life as a Muslim in india. Jamal is madly in love with Latika, and has
been, ever since he met her at an orphanage. She becomes Jamal and his brother Salim’s "third musketeer." At the orphanage Salim witnesses Maman. (A local gangster who kidnaps orphans and forces them to perform and sing on the street, in order to make him money.) Blind a child to make him a more sympathetic beggar, he and Jamal escape, but Latika is not so lucky. and do not escape, the orphanage. For a few years the brothers survive on the street, but Jamal cannot seem to forget Latika.
Years pass and Jamal decides that him and Salim should go back to see if they can find her. They rescue her, and in the process, Salim kills Maman and joins a gang. The gang later kidnapped Latika and held her hostage. Jamal now doesn't know where she is, but he knows hat Latika watched who Wants to Be a Millionaire.'' So he decides to participate in “who Wants to Be a Millionaire.'' So she could find him, and the other way round.
