An article by Andrew Marshall about the Tsunami on Banda Aceh island On the 21th of December 2004 a massive Indian Ocean tsunami hit the indonesian coast, having a destructive impact in 14 countries and killing over 230.000 people. The tsunami was triggered by an 9,15-magnitute earthquake. Aceh was one of the worst hit places in Indonesia with over 166.000 people found missing or dead and causing homelessness by the thousands.
