The movie, Ae fond kiss, is about two young people. A man and a woman, Casim and Roisin. The man is from a Muslim family, where the parents already have found his bride. The woman is a catholic, but she is not very religious.

The two young people meet each other on a school where the Roisin is a music teacher. A day when Casim is going to pick up his sister from school he meets Roisin. Casims sister, Tahara, breaks a guitar and Casim gets Roisin a new one.

Casim and Roisin falls in love and they take a holiday together, but in that trip tells Casim that he is going to marry his

cousin. That makes Roisin very angry and she says that she does not want to se casim anymore, but they get good friends again, there is just one thing Casim has to do for Roisin, he must tell his parents that he is not going to marry his cousin.

But Casim has a very hard time going against his parents, but he does it and they get very disappointed with him and they tries to get Casim and Roisin away from each other. But in the end they accept it.
