Indian Camp – Ernest Hemingway The story takes place in an Indian camp. It’s about a boy named Nick; he is going to the camp with his father and his uncle. His dad and uncle are going to help an Indian woman in labor – she has tried to get the baby out for two days now (first page, line 18). Nick is helping his dad and uncle during the birth. When the baby is born they notice that the father to the new born baby has committed suicide – he had sliced himself with a razor in the throat.
