Everyone wants to follow their dreams and achieve something significant in their life. We all want different
things, however. Some people want to pursue a sports career, some want to become lawyers or doctors and
some want to spend their whole lives doing nothing. Many people, however, want to seek an artistic career,
such as becoming an actor or a musician, and that can be very hard sometimes. A great example of this, is the
story “Greyhound tragedy” by Ernest Hemingway, that delves deep into a life full of grief and regret.
The main character in the story is a young woman from a small town in Oregon who has a dream of one day
becoming an actor in Hollywood. She dreams of a glamorous life like the movie stars in there but is stuck in
her small hometown. Despite the challenges of the Great Depression, her family still manages to live
comfortably because of her father’s work at a local store. She spends a lot of time reading about films and
gaining knowledge herself in the subject. Although her family wants her to marry a wealthy Ford-salesman,
that can give her a good future, she is hesitant to ask about the costs of a trip to Hollywood. She considers
