Jim Morrison was one of the most influential American rock singer and song writer and the lead singer of the band called “The doors”. He was known for writing very deep and poetic lyrics and that was because Morrison read a lot of the greatest poets and philosophers and he considered himself a poet, even though critics and journalists never recognized or considered him as one. He really changed the way people made music, because of the new way he experimented with music and the new psychedelic type of music genre that he engaged in and cultivated. But he didn't just influence the music industry, but also young people in the 60s and 70s, and that was because he had this rebellious and free-spirited attitude and personality that made him an interesting person who young people admired and looked up to.
Jim Morrison was born on December 8, 1943, and he grew up in a middle-class family with his parents, brother and sister. Growing up, he read a lot of books and was interested and intrigued by literature and poetry, influenced by his father's collection of books. He also listened to a lot of music, especially rock and blues and the musician Elvis Presley. In high school, he showed a lot of talent for writing and contributed to the school newspaper even though he was a rebellious teen.
