As I went on you could se the black clouds slowly creeping in over the land. It reminds me of the society and the way they polish the façade that they build up over the years. That was also one of the reasons why I left.
My family is where it always has been. But I can never return now. I left them because I wanted to try something new. Something no one has ever tried before. Everybody else just follows the main stream and graduates where after they get a job on which they spend the rest of their life. I want to go see the world and feel free to do what I want.
On the way to this place yesterday I saw my family standing outside my house to see if I might come wanting my stuff. They seemed worried about what I was going to do and what had happened to me. But they can’t pull me back to the “normal” way of living as every person on my age does.
As I went on towards the open fields and the free world, the cloud slowly blackened and the night came sneaking in over me. I packed out my sleeping gear and went to rest. It was a cold night. You could hear the wind sweeping the grass, and the bushes around me. The next morning I had decided to move on through the states, all the way to the east coast. I had always wanted to feel the sea on the other side. Just imagine the waves rolling up on the beach tickling your feet on the way up and pulling you out into the water as it returns. Halfway through the country I met up with an old friend. It was Mike who was my best friend in primary school. He had also left because he wanted to see the states of our country. We used to live in the middle of the country so the beach on the east side was also the first thing we wanted to see. He told me that when he started it was with Peter and John. But they split up because they wanted to go to Florida and further down to Mexico.
