Already when I was little I heard of the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. I saw him on a show on Animal Planet, and already first time I saw him, I knew that I would come to like him. His daredevil stunts were exciting, and it’s thrilling to watch him risk his life and limbs. I guess that’s one of the cases where we humans are a lot more primitive than we like to admit. It’s probably the adrenaline-rush we get when in danger. At least that’s the case with me; I’m what you’d call an “adrenalin junkie”. A wanna-be anyways, because it hasn’t quite been possible for me to do parachuting and such, yet. But the kicks you get from the danger, probably isn’t the only thing in it for Steve, our dear Crocodile Hunter. I myself think he’s truly devoted to conserving these animals, that many civilians consider vermin and unnecessary, like snakes, spiders and crocodiles. The mix of his knowledge about the animals he’s dealing with, and the stupidity of wrestling an alligator, or grabbing a cobra by the neck has made him famous all over the world. I think Steve Irwin will be remembered for a long time, and he’s truly an animal lover-martyr.
