The Celebration of Steve Biko The death of the black activist, Steve Biko was on Monday, September 7th. The funeral was on Sunday September 25th. At the stadium where the ceremony was held, over a thousand people from all over South Africa, came to grief and celebrate the life of Steve Biko.
