”The Dress” By Julia Darling ”The Dress” is a short story written by Julia Darling in 2006. The story portrays the strained relationship between the sisters, Rachel and Flora, but also their relationship to their mother and how they function as a family. The main problem in the story is this certain silk dress, that causes a lot more conflicts than you could ever imagine. All this takes place in an upper class district, where we, in medias res, meet the two sisters Rachel and Flora, and Rachel is searching for her dress, but Flora has taken it. We follow
