This is England: analyse af Shane Meadows' film

The movie is called “This is England” and it is an authentic drama. It is directed in 2006 by Shane meadows that is a famous film-maker in Britain. ”This is England” is about a small boy called ”Shaun”. He is 12 years old, and gets bullied every day at school and does not have any friends. His father died in the Falkland-war and therefore he is very upset and confused. Shaun lives with his mom in a small town in Britain. One day he got beaten up by a kid from school because of his pants, and on his way home he met some skinhead guys. Even though they are older, they become his friends and they hang out with him. Shaun also gets the same haircut and clothes as the” skinheads”.Woody becomes like a father for Shaun and he is also the leader of their crew or gang. Shaun has finally some friends. In the gang, Shaun meets his first love ”Smell”, and they are happy for each other. One day an evil man, ”Combo” gets out of jail and he shows up with ”Banjo”. He wants to take over the gang and have some politics against black people specially Pakistanis. Woody does not like ”Combo” and asks which side his friends are on, but sadly ”Shaun” leaves him and becomes ”Combo's” new best friend. After that ”Shaun” also becomes a bit evil and he starts to hate black people because ”Combo” turns Shaun's hate against the war and his fathers death into racism (maybe into hate against blacks), and the entire situation gets bad in the neighbourhood.
