I was once told that no matter what the color of your skin is, no matter where you come from, and no matter how you look or speak, you have the right to be respected. I was told that people, that looked different than me, were humans just like me. My mother told me this. She said, that some people did terrible things to people, that were different from them, and that was not right. My father said:”They may look different to you, speak funnier than you do, and do some things differently. But you may not point your fingers at them, because that is their way of living”. But not all people have been told this. There are people, whom – despite the ban of racist statements – still treat human differently based on their looks and ethnicity.
All people have right to be accepted for who they are. They may do some inappropriate things, but just think, that their culture is something totally different from ours, and the fact, that most of the immigrants in Denmark are here because of war in their own countries. They might have experienced terrible things, which can cause mental disorders. I do not approach their actions, when they get in to crime. If they do so, someone needs to tell them, that they are welcome, but they have to follow the rules. And if they will live in our country, then it is our rules, they need to follow to integrate to the society.
