Describe the characters: Billy, Jackie, Tony, Michael and Miss Wilkinson

Billy: Eleven-year-old Billy Elliot lives in a little house, in Northwest England, with his dad, brother and his Nan. Billy is different from other boys. He doesn’t want to follow the boxing tradition of the family, and finds something he is good at- ballet. He loves to dance ballet, when he dances he’s serious, muscular, powerful and strong. Nobody accepts his interest in dancing, only his best friend Michael.

Billy is tall and he has blond hair, he’s skinny, and he has lost the one of the person, he knew, would support him, all the way, whatever his decision would be. And that’s his mom, who is dead.

Jackie: Jackie Elliot is a man, about 44 years old. He’s dad to two boys. Jackie works as a miner, but Margaret Thatcher a British state woman and prime minister, wants to close the mines, so Jackie starts striking, cause he wants to keep his job, to take care of Billy and Tony. Since his wife, Sarah, died, has it been a hard time for Jackie, he’s is worried for his two boys, cause if the mines get’s closed, what should his sons do in the future then. But at the same time he’s rough cause he don’t want Billy to dance ballet, even when he knew that he love it, but that irritates Jackie, cause buy shall not dance, he thinks that it only gays who dance. But later he gets more warm and lovely, cause he sends Billy to the royal ballet audition.
