My incident with a ghost

It was just a normal day on vacation in South Africa. We went hiking in some mountains. Then we drove down to the sea, but before we got there, it was night. So we slid in a hotel for one night. It wasn’t a big hotel. The room was pretty small, but we didn’t need a big room for only one night. There were two double beds next to each other, and a big window between. It was as if there was darker than dark. It looked like the window and its black curtains made it darker. We brushed our teeth and went to bed, with sore legs from all the hiking. It was not going to be difficult to sleep tonight, I thought.

I was going to sleep next to my mom in the left double bed, and my dad and brother in the right double bed. The beds were comfortable so we fell quickly asleep, but in the middle of the night I woke up. I don’t know why, but I just opened my eyes and saw a tall wide black figure hovering a few centimetres above the ground. You could not see its arms, legs and nothing of the face because the creature was so dark. It was as if was in one piece. Then it hovered towards me. The creature looked a little like batman because of the peak ears going up towards the roof. I quickly closed my eyes shut and cuddled over to my mom. I tried to think happy thoughts as my heart was racing, and with shear will power I held my eyes shut and fell asleep again.
