He and his family moved a lot, because of his father’s job. The father was office employee. Charles’ mother was Elizabeth Dickens, and his father was John Dickens. He was the second of eight children. The father often spent his money, before he got them. He came in the debt-prison in Southward when Charles was only 12 years old.
