Analyse af 'Eye Socket Girls'

The story is taking place at a hospital, at a clinic or some kind of a place in a hospital were all the girls with an eating disorder are. All of them have anorexia. (p.112,6)

You can see that the story is taking place in the middle of the day because all the workers, and doctors at this hospital checking if the patients are alright and isn’t about to die immediately. So it isn’t at night because there are a lot of people on job and the narrator can look around on the life around and right outside her room.

Characterization:

The main character and the only character we are completely sure exist is a very young girl with some huge problems, this young girl is suffering from anorexia this started as soon as in high school (p.114, 3) back then she wanted to be the best in everything and got all the best grades and slept with a lot of guys so she had to be thin (P.113,39)

She is aware of her disease; she knows what it has done to her body (p.112, 14-19)

But then again she knows the fact about all the girls in here, the work at the clinic to get the anorexic girls to gain pounds, is only helping at the clinic, when they are returning to real life the kilos is of again(p.113,18)
