My favorite film is "Never Back Down" it's a action/sport film from 2008. Jake Tyler has recently moved from Iowa to Orlando, Florida with his mom, Margot and his younger brother, Charlie to support Charlies shot at a proffesional tennis career. At Jakes new school, there's this boy, Ryan McCharty the fighting champion at the school, at a party he fight Jake and beat him, and Jake want revenge.

Jake was a star in the football team at home, but in Orlando, after all have see a video of him starting a fight in football, all take of him as a outsider, quick tempered brawler.

Jake making an attempt to fit in, at the invitation of a classmate Baja Miller, Ryans girlfriend. Jake goes to a party where he's pulled into a fight with Ryan, Jake does not wish to fight until Ryan taunts him about his father who died while driving drunk with Jake in the car. Jake lose the fight. But Max Cooperman later becomes one of Jakes the best friends, he tells about the sport known as Mixed Martial Arts. He sees a star in Jake and asks if he'll meet his mentor, Jean Roqua. Roqua agrees to take Jake as a pupil, but Jake will be unable to fight outside the gym which Jake agrees to. Because he wishes to fight and beat Ryan. Baja confronts Ryan about the fight with Jake and then proceeds to end their relationship. Jake attends training with Roqua while still angry about the incident, Roqua asks Jake to leave. After leaving the gym Jake and Max gets into a brawl with a group of four guys who Jake easily disposes of while Max films. The video is all around the school raising Jake's social status but this only annoying Ryan. Then Ryan challenge Jake to compete in the Beatdown, where Ryan is the reigning champion. But when coming back to practice with Roqua he be banned from the gym after fighting outside the gym. Jake beg for forgiveness saying his anger is quelled when he is training with Roqua. Roqua agrees him to train at his gym again, but he will not take it easy on him anymore. He then prepares to compete in the Beatdown. Jake apologized for not listening to Baja when she first apologized and they began a relationship. Jake inquires why Roqua lives in the gym, and found out that, joseph the favorite son, was killed and his father had suspect Roqua for this. After this Jake decided to withdraw from the Beatdown, Ryan invites Max over to his house, where Max is brutally beaten, and then leaved out at Jake's door. Jake and Baja take him to the hospital where jake realize that it's gone too far and decides to participate in the Beatdown to give Ryan a decent game. Jake arrives to the tournament where it is about to begin. Jake make it to the semifinals but was injured after taking a kick to the ribs. But Ryan gets disqualified in his semifinal match and now Jake see no reasons to continue. While he and Baja attempt to leave, Ryan confronts him and the two finally fight outside the parking lot. Jake win the fight.
