A dreamer, known as;”the Time Traveller,” putted together a couple of wise men, included a psychologist, a doctor and a narrator. He wanted to discuss he’s new theory, that the fourth dimension is “the time,” and that he thus had figured out a way to travel in time. Their disbelief only increases when the Time Traveller offers to show them an evidence to support his theories, bringing a small model into the room. The machine, as the Time Traveller explains, is a miniature version of a full sized machine that he has built in his laboratory, and on which he plans to explore time. With his guests watching, he demonstrates the use of the machine, pushing a lever, which causes the model to disappear, into the future.
The following Thursday, another group of men meets up at the Time Traveller’s house, and find that he is not at home, but has left a note asking them to start without him, and they do so. When the Time Traveller enters, he began to tell the story about his morning. He had finally finished the Time Machine.
He decided to try it for real. He watched the changing scenes and then decides to stop to see what the future holds. He stops suddenly, and the machine almost throwing him into the grass. He finds out that he is in the exactly same place as his laboratory, but in the year anno 802.701. He expected to find a more intelligent version of the humans, but instead he found a world of happy and peaceful creatures who calls themselves Eloi. The Eloi are pretty small at size, about 125 cm high, with a kind of pink skin, curly hair, small ears and mouth but with large eyes. They seems also to be quite unintelligent and childlike, which is a directly antonym, towards what he expected them to be.
