Nirvana is an American grunge-band from Aberdeen in Washington. They where a popular band in the 1990’s. The band member was; Bassist Krist Novoselic, drummer Dave Grohl and singer Kurt Cobain. The band had changed the name of the band a few times before they picked the name Nirvana. They chose the name in 1988.
In 1990 they signed a recording contract with DGC Records, after that they was recorded Nevermind, with Butch Vig as producer. After Nevermind , they toured over the hole world. For example they played on ‘Roskilde Festival’, in 1992.
In December same year they sent a new album called Incesticide.
In 1993 they recorded a CD called ‘In Utero’, with Steve Albini. Later on that year they played at the MTV concert.
In the beginning of 1994 Nirvana went on a tour in Europe, but it was cancelled because Kurt Cobain was found unconscious of an overdose. He was founded on a hotel room in Rom. He was inlaid on a hospital an when he was been seepage he went home to USA.
Nirvanas biggest success-album was Nevermind, with the single ‘Smells like teen spirit’, it took one of the biggest names of the top list out, for example Michael Jackson.
