The movie is about, how David and Constance gave their life to show, that the death penalty system doesn’t work. They had planned their death and wanted to stop death penalty. It was Betsey’s intention to stop the execution of David Gale, but she failed. Afterwards she fined out that it wasn’t David’s intention to survive.
David Gale takes action as he does, since he actually didn’t had any choice. Berlin tried as much as she could to have sex with David. David was drunk and that could be a reason for why he did as he did. But when they had sex none of them knew it would end like this. David wanted to show the society that the system didn’t worked, so he and Constance gave their life to prove that they were right.
Plot:
The movie starts at the last day (Friday) where we see Betsey running to reach her destiny. Then there comes a flashback where we see the whole situation. The movie is split over 4 days (Tuesday, Wednesdays, Thursday and Friday.
Monday:
Betsey was informed about her case and was told to travel as soon as possible, but she had to take the intern Zack with her.
