Malcolm X, born Malcolm Little in 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska he was assassinated February 21 1965 in Manhattan, New york. Malcolm X was an African-American Muslim minister and human rights activist. Criticizers accused him for preaching racism, black supremacy and violence. It might have been difficult for Malcolm to have anything else then racist thoughts about white people, when Malcolm was a child he witnessed his father being shot by members of the KKK, so Malcolm has always witnessed gun shootings and violence, against his race.
Malcolm attended in junior high school but dropped out after white teacher told him that studying law was “no realistic goal for a black man” Malcolm moved to Harlem, New York and began to hustle, selling drugs, gamble and robbing – he got arrested and sentenced eight to ten years in prison. Malcolm said in an interview that going to prison was the best thing that ever happened to him because there he educated himself and learned about Islam.
When Malcolm came out of prison he joined the NOI were he became a Muslim preacher, he replaced his last name with X. He replaced it with the X because he felt that his last name was given by the slave owners
