Slavery can means that someone owns you, they can make you do their work or other terrible things. Slavery have been a ordinary thing in a thousand years.
Today is there still slavery all over the world, also in Denmark.
Slavery in Denmark
One of the known slaveries in Denmark for a long time ago, was under the Vikings. The slaves was used to build things. To mark a slave, the Vikings used fertilizer on the nose of the slaves. The nose rotted away. It must have been painful for the slaves.
I think that it is horrible to do that against another person. Today we have human rights to protect people.
The kind of Slavery we mostly see in Denmark, is the handle of women’s. also known as human trafficking. Every day is there some women in all ages. They’re being sold for sex.
Many of the women’s are promised a job as cleaning or babysitting kids, but when they come, they get stunned. In the worst cases, they are forced to take drugs, so they are easier to work with. Must of the time they get beaten.
Some Danes think that the only place in Denmark where there is sex slaves is in Copenhagen, but it is just as bad in small towns.
