- her full name was Diana Frances Spencer.

- 1 July 1961 England - 31 August 1997 Paris, France.

- she was the Princess of Wales, called Lady Diana or just Lady Di.

Her wedding:

- took place on 29 July 1981.

- she got the title Princess of Wales.

- she inspired a new fashion with her fantastic wedding-dress.

- after the wedding, she gave birth to two children, Prince William in 1982 and Prince Henry in 1984.

- in 1996 they divorced as prince Charles had an affair with Camilla Parker Bowles, his former girlfriend.

How did she die?

- she died after a car crash in Paris. The doctors were not able to save her life.

- Diana's and her boyfriend Dodi Fayed's car was followed by paparazzi photographers. The driver was drunk. The car hit a stone and crashed.

- Dodi Fayed and the driver were also killed. The only surviving person was Diana's bodyguard.

How did people react?

- Prince Charles and Diana's two sisters brought her body back to England.

- A lot of people were very sad as she was known as the people's princess.
