Death penalty is a punishment. But is death really the worst punishment that can be given? Is it much worse to get tortured for a year and then die? Yes, of course it is. But is it okay? I am totally against torture in any way. There is no reason, except your own personal desires, to torture a person.
I would say that if you choose to sentence someone with a death penalty, then you do not want the person to feel much pain. On one side we have money waste, and the other side we have death penalty. It’s hard to debate which one takes the upper-hand, it varies.
Let us say that we have a guy who just killed a person. My personal opinion is that if you kill someone you should be prepared to die yourself. Of course one of the problems with death penalty is the chance of him actually being innocent, it happens. Either way it may cost money. Everything is build up by money. I am sure that if there was some way we could earn money by using murders, we would definitely use it. The reason why this problem has not been solved is because of the downsides. If we started earning money on murders they would resist and some people would start campaigns and protests against it, just like people who are protesting against death penalty. Just to make this corrupt world seem more corrupt, let me ask this; if no-one protested against using murders for making money, in the worst way possible, an example could be in a colosseum, would the government actually do that? I think so.
