Fear is something we all experience, and there are many different kinds of fear. The American short story “Scary Movies” published in 1995 by Stephen Amidon is about fear, and how different kinds of fear affect people and the racism/civil rights movement in the 60’s America. The story takes place in a small town close to New York City, 1968. The town is very segregated, and is divided into the white neighborhood, and the black neighborhood.
