We live in an age of digital information. The increase of social media websites has literally changed the world, all the way from the professional to personal level.

Nowadays, a lot of people are using social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and so on. Since the Internet has spread so quickly, social media have progressed a lot. The generalization of the internet makes us to live suitably and fast. People are using smart phones, IPhones or other smart devices which can give access to the internet. These equipments makes us do social network easily. It helps contact friends, family, and other people even though they live far away. It could be, however, abused, if you don’t use it properly. Especially, it is important that we understand and control the use of social media of young children.

There is both advantages and disadvantages of the social media. First of all, social media, especially Facebook, is very addicted. People would say drugs or alcohol is more addicting than social media or social media addiction is not a big problem, but it is not true. I have heard and seen documentaries and videos about the addiction. The problem is most people who have an addiction to social media and do not even realize it. Others have found themselves in uncomfortable situations they wish they could undo, but unfortunately social media can still keep a record of it making it more difficult to leave in the past. Sometimes you put yourself at risk of ruining a relationship based on what you post or what you may say to someone. It takes less than two minutes for the entire world to know what is going on in your household now, which can be quite scary.
