1 Introduction

I want to start out by talking about the term “Beauty”, wich have caused a lot of philosophic questions like “is it in the eye of the beholder?” or “is Beauty only to find in skin debt?” We humans have even before the imperial china and the ancient Egypt been aware of our looks. And the perception of beauty have been changing for ages, and It will probably keep the process.

From young ages we are taught that the outside doesn’t matter, and that personality always beats the outside material beauty.

Yet we live in a society that contradicts this very statement. Everyday we get affected by magasines, tv shows, commercials with stickfigured women and pumped men, staging the “ideal body types”

These requirements are imposed as a burden on both men and women, they can cause pressure on the individual wich can cause the to get a low self- esteem

And edventually develop eating disorders. There is a wide range of eating disorders, they can all be triggered by the same problems.
