The movie is mainly about a so called ‘’fake’’ family. The concept of this fake family is that they’re one unit out of many, which has only one purpose. They get all types of products send by all kinds of companies, and then they just have to wear all the stuff as much as possible. You could say the family is perfect. Perfect and beautiful couple with two beautiful teenagers, Mick and Jenn. The family has just moved to a more prestige neighbourhood, with only one thing in mind. Marketing the products and use them as much as possible. Because if they look like one happy, perfect family, others would probably also buy the products they wear. Steve is the main person in the movie. Steve has the role as the father in the family of four. Mick has a dark secret that he keeps to himself, he’s gay. But his main mission is to impress a girl, but he falls in love with her brother and tries to kiss him to a party, but he got turned down in his ‘’father's’’ Audi R8. Jenn, the teenager girl in the family has a fetish for old men, and she suddenly fall in love in a rich old man. The old man’s wife finds out, and tells her that it isn’t first time he’s been with a young girl, and that they couldn’t be seen no more. Kate, the mother in the family keeps holding on that they’re only a unit while Steve may be crushing a bit on Kate. Until one day where they talk about their feelings and Steve get disappointed and maybe a bit sad, when Kate says that she doesn't have any feelings at all for him, so he starts rejecting her and playing hard to get while his sales numbers are growing very fast, then she kinda starts missing him laying on her. Steve have a good friend named Larry, they are like the neighborhoods competitives without Steve even noticing it. For an example, if Steve gets send a big new tv, Larry want’s one that’s even bigger, until one day when Larry are drowning in debt from loans, that he takes his own life. At that point Steve knew he didn’t want to live that life anymore, he wanted a normal life with a normal job and his own kids and of course Kate to. He tells all the neighbors at Larry’s death scene that it’s all fake and it’s not even his family, while he’s about to expose everything the family escapes. A few days later, Steve decides to go to the family where his former family members are, because he wants Kate to go with him. At first she rejects him, but after he has left the house, she changes her mind, and then the movie ends with them driving away.
