The American dream is today, a very known term. It’s mostly associated with wealth and a happy life, but I’m questioning, if there really is such a thing, as The American dream.

A whole lot of immigrants travel a dangerous rode to America. They come from poor families, where they almost work themselves to death every day, to get a small amount of food on the table.

They come to America with the idea, that they will become wealthy, and get a lot of free land. A small amount of the people that have traveled to the states, will achieve such things. So the big question is, what about the others?

I came to America with the same hope, as all the other immigrants. The hope that I would achieve, The American dream. It just wasn’t that easy. I lived through poverty and hunger, but I never gave up. That lead me to where I am today. Trying to open your rich American eyes, too what is actually going on in your country this very moment.

I have worked as a reporter for quite some time now. I have seen the downsides to America, many times, and in many different situations, but one that stands out clearly, was a few months ago. I was on my way to work, when I heard a little boy cry. I turned around the corner of a big building, and there, standing about 50 kids on a big field. They were digging holes and dragging heavy bags of dirt. Many of the kids had wounds on hands and knees. They all wore torn clothes and shoes filled with holes, and they were covered in dirt.
