Skribentens beskrivelse af Son of SatanSon of Satan The text’s called “Son of Satan” it’s a short story and has been written by Charles Bukowski in 1982. In the text the character is an eleven years old boy, trying to be the way his father is. That’s Exactly how I will describe an aggressive, act in a commanding way and bullying those weaker than himself. Some symbols take part to the story’s meanings and themes. For example, the title speaks for itself. Because it becomes a metaphor for parents influence over their children, because parents can provoke sides of the children that the parents themselves have. As long as the father in the short story refuses his son and calling him “Son of Satan1”. The truth is that the son is becoming the man his father is “Satan”. Many kids see their parents as rolemodels, that’s why it’s so important that parents are the rolemodels their kids need. If the parents aren’t the rolemodel their kids need it can turn out as the short story “Son of Satan”. |
