Summary: Ray Bradbury’s “The Veldt” is set place in an advanced future, where technology plays a major part in humans every day. Machines caries all practical chores and creature comforts. George and Lydia Hadley the parents, of a “Happylife home” let the home replace the parents parenting-role, resulting in the children Peter and Wendy becoming emotionally attached to the house. The phycologist David McClean helps the parents realize the extreme abnormality of the situation, which ultimately leads to the parents trying to terminate the house, to try and connect with the children again.
